Partnerships Spanning Four Regions

Nvidia has secured four new partnerships to deploy Level 4 autonomous robotaxi fleets using its Drive Hyperion platform, covering Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Foxconn will develop Level 4 electric robotaxis for Taiwan, with initial deployment in Kaohsiung starting in 2028, focusing on airport to city routes before expanding to high speed rail corridors. VinFast is collaborating with Autobrains to bring Drive Hyperion based robotaxis to Southeast Asia, while Humain is building autonomous transport infrastructure in Saudi Arabia for the Middle East. In Europe, Uber and Autobrains are launching a robotaxi program in Munich using Drive Hyperion, aiming for an OEM-agnostic model.

Impact on Automotive Cybersecurity and Architecture

These partnerships signal a shift from isolated pilot programs to coordinated commercial deployment, with Drive Hyperion becoming the de facto compute backbone for autonomous ride hailing. For automotive security engineers, this convergence raises important questions about the security of a shared, standardized platform across multiple OEMs and regions. The reliance on Nvidia’s AI compute architecture means that any vulnerability in Drive Hyperion could have cascading effects across diverse fleets, from Taiwan to Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the integration of Autobrains’ perception system introduces another layer of software supply chain complexity that OEMs and fleet operators must secure against potential attacks targeting sensor data or decision making algorithms.
